The content [of the narrative]:
[Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&h) stated:]
“O people! Indeed I’m a human [like the others] and presently will be called [by the angel of death]…
I’m going to leave behind, two precious things into you. The two are “God’s holy writ” [Quran] and “my Household; my family”.
These two never will part each other till they come to me besides the pool [Kawthar]. Don’t outgo them; otherwise, (you) will be perished…”
Points:

۱- Prophet [Muhamad (pbuh&h)] left behind “two Successors” after himself to lead the Ummah [people].
۲- Both two successors are survivable till doomsday and never part each other.
۳- Adhere (obey) the two to stay protected from aberration.
This narration has been repeated a lot in Shia source books and also had come in Sunna’s sources, like; Sahih of Muslem, Sunan al Tormozi and Darimi, Musnad of Ahmad, Khasa’es of Nesa’ee, Mustadrak of Hakeem, Sunan of Ibn e-Majah and Abu-Dawood.
