The night of separation1 ends

وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُون [حدید/۱۶]َ

……, and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors (Holy Qur`an, Surah AL-HADID, verse 16)
 

[Once] Imam Ṣādiq (pbuh) stated:

The following verse is about people in [major] occultation time, and “ages” refers to the occultation time.

Then God stated: Know ye (all) that Allah giveth life to the earth after its death! (Holy Qur`an, Surah AL-HADID, verse 17)”

۱-the writer refers to the occultation period which   will end when Imam Mahdi (mgehr) arises.
